Basic FunctionTo lead projects from start to finish – from design to implementation to launch. To both troubleshoot issues with their own code and to help less-seasoned developers.
Responsibilities
1. Design and implement features in Ruby on Rails for our products using best practices
2. Improve and troubleshoot existing applications with an eye towards performance and scalability

Required Experience and Skills
• At least 2 years of Ruby on Rails experience and/or skilled in other web-scalable applications in other languages
• At least 3 years of working with other programming languages or frameworks prior to working with Ruby on Rails
• 5-10 years experience building high performance and scalable web products
• Troubleshooting skills and curiosity about emerging technologies
• Experience with scaling publicly available web applications and associated best practices

Junior Systems Administrator
Basic Function
To manage and maintain existing infrastructure, both physical and virtual, for our existing and upcoming products. This position will require taking care of configuration management, monitoring both software and hardware and following best practices when it comes to installs, monitoring and maintenance. You’ll be a vital part of the development team and work closely with the CTO and other developers to make sure we’re as efficient as possible. You might be asked to do some development tasks, or already be a Rails developer who wants to learn dev ops.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and monitor existing hardware and software, dealing with outages and break fixes
2. Implement processes for smooth deployments and rollbacks (not that we need those very often)
3. Maintain production, development and testing hardware
4. Be on call to handle production outages
5. Work with Development to optimize systems for efficiency and performance
Required Experience and Skills
1. At least 1 year experience with Amazon EC2 or other cloud hosting provider
2. At least 2 years experience with Ruby on Rails and related technologies and servers
3. At least 1 year experience with industry standard monitoring and response tools (monit, god, nagios, Scout, etc)
4. Good troubleshooting skills
5. Good written communication skills
Desired/Preferred Skills
1. Experience with Ruby on Rails in a production / high-load environment
2. Experience with open source software participation (bonus points if you send a link to your github account when you contact us) and open source projects

Web Graphic Design Intern
Basic Function
To serve as a production artist who helps to create design assets such as banners, buttons, promotional pieces, widgets, UI design tasks, and other art as needed by our team, following our style guide and company guidelines.
Responsibilities
• Support Design, Product and Marketing efforts such as brand management, advertising, marketing and community outreach efforts
• Support our team with additional tasks as needed, including, for example, those that help with maintaining the office environment, record-keeping, inventory, quality assurance/testing, etc…
Required Experience and Skills
• Must show an online portfolio or website
• Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and be available to work in our Savannah, GA office
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience producing art assets for the web
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, deadline-driven environment
• Open to direction and able to embrace change
